PROSTHETIC TREATMENTS

Removable prosthesis, implant-supported removable prosthesis or implant-supported fixed prosthesis treatments can be performed in edentulous patients.

For implant-supported fixed prosthesis, it is ideally recommended to use 6-8 implants for a single jaw. As the number of implants increases, the mechanical load-bearing capacity of the implant-supported prosthesis increases.

Implant-supported removable dentures are more cost-effective than implant-supported fixed dentures. It gives satisfactory results to the patient in terms of function and aesthetics. In implant-supported removable prostheses, in addition to increasing the retention of the prosthesis in the mouth and inside the mouth, it takes up less space in the upper jaw by the palate and provides a more stable prosthesis in the lower jaw, creating high chewing ability in the patient.

Partial dentures are prostheses made in cases where fixed prosthesis is not applied. Since the prosthesis is attached to the tooth in front of the toothless area with a hook, it is also called hook prosthesis.
